More on getemail.io

In my last blog post on conducting customer discovery, I mentioned an add-on service to LinkedIn, getemail.io. In response to some questions about it, let me go into more detail.

It is an add-on that will appear as a marker on the sidebar of your standard LinkedIn webpage. Being there makes it very convenient to use. In fact, one does not have to even type in the name you are searching for, since the app will use the name from whatever profile you have open at the time you click the marker.

So, to use it, search for a person of interest. When you find the LinkedIn profile for the person you desire, look for their contact information. Often the email address is not included. If that is the case, simply click the getemail.io marker and it goes right to work, searching for and verifying an email for that person.

You should wait until the app tells you the email is verified. At that time, you can use it to contact that person.
